OAKRIDGE, circa 1800, Nottoway County, Virginia.

Oakridge is a 149 acre private estate in the heart of Southside Virginia 5 miles west of Blackstone, 4 miles south of Nottoway Courthouse, and about 50 miles southwest of Richmond. Established circa 1800, it is a Virginia Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The stately manor house is picturesquely set amidst locust, pine, magnolia, and box atop a ridge affording panoramic views of fertile field and forest. Danny Sprinkle and Cheryl Wilson-Sprinkle of Newport News maintain it as their countryseat and lease acreage for hay and grazing. They are dedicated to preserving the historic character and scenic beauty of this Nottoway County treasure while upholding its agricultural tradition.
